• Halloween Fun at Thornfield!

  Get ready for some spooktacular fun! Our school is hosting a Design a Pumpkin competition on Friday 27th October! Whether you carve, paint or decorate your pumpkin, bring it in and show off your creativity! And that's not all, we're also throwing a Halloween disco on the same day! We are looking forward to a frightfully good time!

  

• Book Week NI

  This week we are celebrating Book Week NI, which offers the opportunity for pupils, teachers and parents to immerse themselves in the joy of reading.

  Taking just 15 minutes out of a busy schedule to read can make such a positive difference as there are many benefits to be gained from reading. That’s why our goal this week is to encourage children and adults to read for fun. Once you discover the joy of a good book, you won’t be able to put it down!

• New Parents Information Evening

  Good morning everyone,

  Just a reminder that our "New Parent/Carer" information evening will be held TONIGHT (04/10/23) at 6:30pm in school. We recognise things were very rushed for many of you in regards placement at Thornfield and many didn't get to come and meet with us properly. Also, now that your child has started/will be starting very soon, you may have more questions for us. We hope you can join us even for a cup of coffee and a chat with other new parents.

  Huge congratulations to our Year 12 leavers who received some fantastic results yesterday morning!

  They achieved up to 12 qualifications in a variety of subjects, including GCSE Maths, Essential Skills in Communication and Level 2 Certificates in Vocational Skills, Occupational Studies, Religion, Employability and Creative Arts and Digital Technologies (these Level 2 Certificates are equivalent to a Grade B at GCSE). We are so proud of them. Their hard work and perseverance have paid off!
